Up for auction is a rare, vintage 1920’s, sample tin of Instant Postum, “A BEVERAGE”. This cute little tin was manufactured by Post Food Products, Postum Company, Incorporated, of Battle Creek, Michigan, a Division Of General Foods Corporation. This is a 1 1/2 ounce tin and measures about 3 1/2” tall and 2 1/4” wide. On the side of the tin, it states, “Postum contains no caffeine or any other stimulant that may cause sleeplessness, nervousness, and indigest...ion.” It is, “made only of Extract of roasted bran, roasted whole wheat and a small portion of sugar-cane molasses.” On the side of the tin, it also states, “VACUUM CEREAL BEVERAGE”. This is a very cute little tin that is in great condition. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are part of the description.
