You are bidding on an Antique/Vintage duck decoy. This particular decoy is RARE. The decoy is made by the Anderson Decoy company out of San Francisco, California. This decoy is unique per it's made of metal and is hollow - so, it will float. Per my research, this decoy was made only a couple of years - 1928-1930 from what I can see. Also, while it was produced in decent numbers - 20, 000-30, 000 decoys, very few have survived to today. The recent there is such a low survival rate is si...mple - this will rust, especially in salt water. So, to find one in any shape, is fairly rare. I've seen a couple of these online - but they are not common by any means. Condition: fair/good- this is a used decoy, however, it's not totally rusted out. There is some surface rust and a couple of dings. Also, I believe the very tip of the tail may have been slightly damaged. That being said, the duck presents very well. Has nice glass eyes and some of it's original color (believe mostly white). This would be a good decoy to complete a collection for sure and is a good example of a somewhat 'failed' decoy and decoy design idea. Here's the details: Item: Anderson duck decoy Material: metalDimensions: 16" x 8-1/4" x 5-1/4"Weight: just over 2 lbs Any questions, please ask. Happy Bidding!!
