For sale is a TEAC A-3440 4 channel Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in good condition albeit with some scuffs, wear and marks and wooden chips as shown. Please refer to pictures! It has been fully tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. They are also in very good shape! The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. All 4 channels play back very well! However, the record function on channel 1 doesnt seem to wo...rk: The sound when recording at 7 1/2 IPS was very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and even better at 15 IPS. The deck will be offered as is for the flaw listed! Makes a great transfer deck! Pictured reels and hubs are NOT included! Makes a great deck for tape transfers!!
