A George II 18th Century Hand Wrought Seamed Brass Candlesticks.

George II, English, Mid 18th Century - circa 1750.
Hand constructed from cast and wrought brass - the original brazed and burnished vertical seams are clearly visible to the shafts etc, (see pictures). The capitals incorporate integral wax pans to the sockets. Both 'scalloped' base sections are tightly riveted at the shaft joint, (original).
Size: overall height(s) - 7 1/8" (181mm).
Weight(s) - 342 & 363 grams.
The overall condition is Good. An open...ing of the seam at one wax pan, (pictures 11 & 12 - not spoiling the appearance), wear and surface marks consistent with genuine age and usage. Natural colour and patina - not recently cleaned or polished.
