For auction a: 10” corrugated adjustable-throat plane with a 2” iron or cutter, Made by the Metalllic Plane Co of Auburn, NY, USA around 1870, this is a Palmer & Storkes patent tool; (that infois stamped into the left side of the base) and a William Ash Co iron. It is a very early metal plane and is shownin the book, PTAMPIA Vol 2, by Roger K. Smith, page 175. All parts seemoriginal and nothing is broken, missing, or bent! Nice frontkno...b and tote (may be yellow birch or rosewood, no cracks or breaks! The tote is in good shape with only a tinychip at the top (see my pictures). The blade orcutter is clearly marked.
