For sale is this rare  METALLIC PLANE COMPANY CORRUGATE  BOTTOM SMOOTHING PLANE 9-3/4" long2-3/16 wide and 4-3/8" high. plane weighs in at 2lbs, 15oz. Has an adjustable front throat, and a 1-1/2 wide EXCELSIOR CUTTING BLADE BY METALLIC PLANE CO. Side of plane is marked with PALMERS AND STORKES PATENTS. Late 1800's tool in good working condition.The rear handle has a slight crack in the handle. Not bad for the age.
I've been a cabinetmaked and tool collector over 46 years a...nd now has come a time to part with these fine treasures.
