Up for auction is my great grandmother's first phone that was used in their home in St. Paul.  This antique wall hanging phone dates probably to the early 1900's, but I don't know for sure.  It is a really nice phone that still has all the equipment inside it.  When you crank the handle, the bells still ring and if you pick up the receiver and crank the handle you can hear a clicking noise through the receiver as you turn it.  So it appears to be in still working co...ndition.  How cool would it be to actually have a way to use it.  The shelf it has on the front has two support pieces which one is broken (see pictures).  It doesn't effect the shelf's stability as it is solid.  The inside still has the wiring diagram on it.  I can't find any information about the manufacturer for it.  From people that have contacted me during the auction, I have been told this may be an 1892 Western Electric model, but I don't know that for a fact.
If you are interested in this, you know far more about it than I do.  Any information you would like to share would be great as I would love to learn more about it.  I have been moving this around with me over the past 40 years and it is currently sitting in a closest.  It is time to have someone have this that will display it in their home or business.
Buyer to pay $50.00 to have the UPS store pack and ship it to you via UPS ground.  It is probably at least 25 pounds, so I can imagine that shipping this will be somewhat expensive.  But I am willing to do a flat rate $50, which I will likely lose money on.  Shipping only within the US and no international bidders or Global shipping programs please.  Local pick up would save you a ton and is free.
