You are bidding on this Antique Wood Baseball Bat Circa 1890-1900. It measures 34 1/2" long and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds. It has a straight, not rounded end which I have never seen before but there are other, similar antique bats pictured if you search the internet. The bat is unbranded as far as I can tell. the only marking may be the solid black diamond at the end of the bat. This may have been a player or team marking or maybe glue residue from a paper label. The bat has a wonderfu...l age appropriate patina and some marks from use. There is a few short splits starting near the handle knob but nothing that measures more than a few inches. No other damage and no repairs. I bought this bat recently along with the Spalding 1890 National League Baseball Schedule that is also in my listings.
