A very fine antiqueChinese Robin’s Egg monochrome glaze porcelain vase.Rare.Circa 1800s.The small vase has abulbus body and two small handles.The unique drip glazestops just above the unglazed rim.Remnant of originalglaze mix on the inside of the base.Robin’s Egg glaze camefrom Jingdezhen City in the 1700s. It is a low-fired speckled opaque turquoiseand blue glaze. Robin’s Egg glaze issometime call Jun Kiln (钧窑) glaze which was developed in the Song Dynastyspecifically made f...or court officials.Beautiful colour vasebut with some kiln flaws. Several small holes in the surface of the glaze with oneslightly bigger. A couple of bumps.
