THE BEATLESLOVE ME DO c/w PS I LOVE YOU UK 1STPRESS (1962) RED LABEL 7” SINGLE Catalogue Number: R 4949 Matrix Number:Side 1: 7XCE 17144-1NSide 2: 7XCE 17145-1N StampersSide 1: PZT 1 OSide 2: PZT 1 G Condition Vinyl– Excellent/Very Good+ Vinyl has some visible hairlines and fine, wispy sleeve removal lines... on the A side.B side has a feelable mark (see photos) with other fine hairlines and surface marks. Matrix suffix ‘1N’ indicating ‘Ringo on drums & no tambourine’ version. Audio – Very good+ Playback is lovely and bright. There is background noise throughout, more obvious on run ins/outs. There are four light pops on the B side across the feelable mark but no sticks or skips. Labels– Excellent The labels are in excellent condition with some spindle wear to both sides. No tears, stickers or writing to either side. The rim text starts “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” In upper/lower text & “Recording first published 1962”. Sleeve– Very Good The original ‘Beach Stripe’ Parlophone sleeve is in reasonable condition. There a split to bottom edge, a bit of tearing to the centre hole and creasing. Overall, this is a nice copy of this first pressing of the Beatles first release. Record will be removed from sleeve for posting. I will only send signed for and always obtain proof of posting.
