Mike Ott fish decoys are featured in the collectors reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT and his fish are very collectible. I have not heard anything from Mike in years and believe he quite carving quite a while ago. This decoy is an early hand painted example of this carvers work. It is 4 1/2" long. It has carved gills, a carved mouth and carved tail fin features. It is beautifully painted with lots of intricate details. The decoy is beautiful and origin...al. It has never been used. It is signed on the belly with this carver's MO mark and is around 20 years old.
