Here is a great looking, vintage and collectible spearing decoy by listed Minnesota carver Bruce Dixon. Dixon fish decoys are featured in the collectors reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT and his work is very seldom available for collectors. I do not believe Bruce has made any decoys in quite a few years. This decoy has carved gill and mouth features. It is 5 3/4" long and has outstanding quality and visual appeal. The body is also covered with cut scales for added... realism and eye appeal. The decoy is beautiful and original and it is signed on the belly with the maker's initials BAD. It is also estimated to be 20 years old.
