This vintage, painted eyed, 2 3/8 inches in overall length, working "Perch Ice Spear Fishing Decoy" was made by Mike Maxson (1934-2017) of Newberry, Michigan. The circa is 1980's. Mike was one of the revered fish decoy makers from the Newberry Michigan school of fish decoy makers. These miniature, sometimes called Perchers, for they were mainly used to attract smaller fish. The condition is excellent plus and also it is typically signed, initialed M by Mike.... I have shown an image of this miniature fish attractor with one of Mike's larger Pike & Musky attractors.
