This listing is for a very early strung (non-walker) Ginny. Ginny is from 1950 and is #8-1D called "Debby". There are no cracks, splits, or stains in her plastic and she was nicely restrung so she poses well. Her gorgeous bright facial coloring is all original with no retouches. Her eyes are a fantastic transitional color of blue that almost blends in completely with the black pupils. Her hair is the early type that is a little wiry, but in an adorable side-part style.... I fashioned a Ginny style bow from vintage ribbon for her hair and attached it with a vintage brass barrette. The Debby outfit can be seen on page 27 of Clark's book "The Colorful World of Ginny". It came in various colors and variations. One other variation is shown on p. 40. This dress is pink with the hem and bodice in a shadow organdy print which is light now, but I've shown a close-up for you to see it more clearly. The dress has no stains, holes, or other issues. There is no tag, but this is not uncommon for the early dresses. The panties match the dress exactly and stay up nicely. The socks and centersnap shoes are both excellent. Such a special little Ginny "Debby" to add to your collection! All items are carefully wrapped including tissue, bubble wrap, and most items are boxed.
