Hello and welcome to Southamerican-Collectibles!What are youbidding on?You are biddingon an antique French Chryselephantinefigurine of a boy with a straw hat and his hands in his pockets circa 1890 . Made all with bronze except his face madewith natural material which presents a visible crack from his left eye to the chin, normal considering its more than 100 years old. His face needs a good cleaning.He is standing on a marble base and "Baily" is signed on the marble it...self in front of his left foot.Charles Eloy Bailly (1830-1895) is mostly known for his bronze and chryséléphantine sculptures.
He won a medal at the Salon for his sculpture 'La Besace' in 1867.
