Item History & Price
10-7/8" Diameter (10-1/8" Diameter without spouts), 15" longwith handle, 2-1/8" HighThis is an antique cast iron skilletwith an outside heat ring and no cracks, breaks, or repairs. On the bottom, ithas "WAPAK" in the straight early form and "8". It has a sharp logo mark. Thereare mold marks and "buttering" on the bottom of the skillet, which istypical of WAPAK as they copied many of their skillets from others. It has been restored byme--thoroughly r...eturned to raw cast iron, seasoned properly at hightemperature, and is ready to display or use. This is a time consuming process. No harsh methods were used on this skillet. Whilethere may be some unevenness in how the seasoning took, it has a nice cookingsurface with only minor utensil marks, pitting, and blowouts (typical of Wapak skillets) that will fill with time andadditional seasoning--see high resolution pictures. There is pitting on the outside of the sidewalls. It only has about 4 newspaperthicknesses of rock from 7 to 2 o'clock when tested on a flat granite surface; it will not spin on a smooth top or other stove.
