This evening I will be offering some of my favorite and extremely rare vintage Barbie items for sale. This auction is for a Japanese Ponytail Barbie Box with international stamp and exclusive, gold-lettered pedestal stand! The box is very fragile with a lot of dark, vintage discoloration and a penciled-in "X" on the inside of the lid. The box has a lot of wear and some "flaking" to the cardboard. There may have been some repairs to the top, as well. The international stamp is in great ...condition although also discolored. The bottom of the box top is missing some graphics and all that can be read is "TAIL." Overall, even with the wear and tear, this is a very good example of one of the earliest Barbie doll boxes and a rare find!The Japanese Exclusive Pedestal stand is in VERY good condition! The wire stand sits firmly in the base and there are no cracks or chips in the base. The gold lettering is excellent! The back of the base is stamped "Mattel International" and "Japan." There are some minor scratches and rubs on the base but this is truly a beautiful stand in very, very good condition!This rare Barbie box and stand would be a wonderful addition to any vintage Barbie collection and, also, an amazing Christmas gift!I have done my very best to give you an accurate description of this rare doll box and stand but I may have missed some minor imperfections.
