Vintage 1930s Japanese color woodblock titled "Misty Day in Nikko" by Hiroshi Yoshida. The Yoshida signature appears to be done in pencil and extends slightly above the border into the print itself.
Hallmarks: Base is signed "Misty Day in Nikko." and "Hiroshi Yoshida." Additional marks in Japanese along left ...border and chopmark to lower right corner.
Dimensions: Paper Height 16 1/8" x Width 11". Image Height 14 3/4" x Width 9 3/4".
Weight: 11 grams.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Fading to image from exposure to sunlight. Toning to paper. Remnants of masking tape adhered to edges on reverse side. Small indentation to border along left side, appearing as a partial crease just under middle signature. Very top edge of woodblock was under the matting and shows fading. Piece was recently removed from the original frame and will ship flat.
