Hello and welcome to another fun auction!
For your consideration, I am offering Barbie's original (1959 - 1960) #850 TM BOX ONLY .
This is Barbie's first cardboard box with so many of her most famous early outfits pictured on the cover and sides. The end flaps and the top Barbie logo both have the original Barbie™ markings as shown in the many photos. This... is the hard to find, famous Barbie box that is referred to as the Gay Parisienne box because it has the picture of the #964 Gay Parisienne outfit from 1959. This is the box with the ™ symbol by the word Barbie on the front of the box that Mattel used for the Ponytail dolls #1 through #3 from 1959 through 1960. This box has the word "BRUNETTE" stamped on the end.
The box is in very good, vintage condition for being almost 61 years old...the colors and drawings are remarkable!
The box does include the original thin paper backing and one cardboard insert. It does show use and slight shelf wear as is to be expected. The one end flap on the lid (as pictured below) has become separated from the sides of the box...the top of the end flap is completely intact. The one corner has been taped and is secure. I definitely want you to be aware of this small imperfection...slight, I know, but I want you to have all information to make a sound decision...please see pictures.):

Should any item need to be returned due to the fact that the item did not match the entire listing description and all information provided as well as these important extra small print details, I will accept the return within 14 days from your receipt of the item and I will reimburse you for the price of the item only....no shipping charges will be refunded for the trip to your home or the trip back to me. The post office is the only one to benefit from the shipping fees. Also, the condition of the returned item will only be acceptable after my thorough inspection. It must be received in the same condition as was described and pictured in the auction and in its original, unopened box or an opened box with all original materials.
Explanation of Condition:
Mint - Perfect condition, right out of the box, like new, item was never used/played with.Near Mint - Bright color and very crisp, no flaws, item may have been gently used/played with.Excellent - Not perfect, item may have been used, acceptable, nice color and pretty crisp (where applicable), may have minor flaws. Very Good - Color may be faded, not very crisp, may have obvious flaws, item was used/played with.Good - Not crisp, may have been washed, may have major flaws, item was used/played with a lot.Fair - Less than desirable condition, shows much wear and tear, may be used for parts, etc.
