More than likely American, East Coast, circa late 1700'sThis has one of the best old surface conditions and great form that we have seen in a long whileEverything here is original - all had done - with hand ...wrought trim with heavy original brass with great patina - double spring adjustable arm has attached round raised edge drip pans with rolled candle cups - plus decorative curled iron elements in the adjustment cage feet are flattened three toed penny style the iron and brass surfaces are very nice with a great patinashand forged tool marks throughout no repairs or restorations that we can find - nice old look with the original wear and tear of a 300 year old pieceadjustment spring is still tight solid heavy brass tulip style finial on the top 68" high with arms measuring 17.5" at widest pointbrass candle drip pans are 4" in diameter and this will take 1" candles This was discovered in an old Central IL Farm estate with ties to Pennsylvania This will be shipped insured Please take a good look at the photographs - for condition, color, size - these photographs are also part of the descriptionwhat you see in the photographs is what you will receiveAll of our items are used from local estates.
