ITEM DESCRIPTIONItem DescriptionUp for your consideration is a gorgeous inlaid French clock, Napoleon III, c. 1870. Fitted with time and strike movement, marked Glading A Paris, having Roman numeral markers, enclosed in case having spiral turn supports and inlaid scroll decoration, The inlay is meticulously executed, with rare woods and gilt bronze mounts. The clock measures 20" tall, 10.5" wide, and 6" deep. Overall, the piece is in excellent cosmetic condition, with some wear to the enamel on the dial around the 6 o'clock position. The wood is is free of chips, cracks, or losses. The clock comes with a key and the original pendulum. I tested each clock winding hole by turning it one notch. The each turn, and the clock dials move with the turn. That being said, I know virtually nothing about the inner workings of a clock, and am selling this as a decorative object, with no guarantees that it works.
