Robert Maxwell & David Cressey Thumbprint Pebble Planter for EarthGender. In an off white freckled glaze. Thick and solid earthenware. Of the most iconic and rare designs from the duo. This planter was made in the early 1970s.
The condition of the piece is good but not perfect - reflected in the price. There is an original firing crack at the base of this planter which you can see is made within the glaze on outer bottom. It had been filled and sold as is in the 1970s. Since then s...mall hairline cracks have formed around that area but does not jeopardize the stability/ presentation of the planter. Due to this I would recommend not directly planting into the pot, rather have a plastic planter hold a plant and build around that. This item is sold as is.
