Hereis a neat old wire recording machine by Webster-Chicago, their ElectronicMemory model 178-1. This machine is not fully tested and is sold as found. The plugwire and plug are in good condition. When plugged in the light comes on. When theswitch in the middle is turned one way the wire spool turns freely. When theswitch in the middle is flipped the other way the take up reel spins freely. Ithas not been tested to record or play wire recordings. The metal grill in frontis in good cond...ition. All the knobs seem to be there. There are some issueswith the paint that is bubbling in a few areas. It comes with two other metalreels, that look like they match, but I am not sure what they are for. It alsocomes with a number of wire spools, mostly full. I do not know how to tell ifthese are used and I do not know if they can be reused but I’d say there arenotes on some and I know most of them are likely used. Overall this machineneeds a cleaning and probably some maintenance. There is no box, instructions, or microphone.
