This striking nickel plated brass microscope by "Beck" of London is, I believe; the "Star" model.There are no cracks or chips to the nickel plated body or cast iron base that I can find. The microscope has retained much of its' nickel plating and original paint, however, there are the usual wear and use marks mainly to the stage, that you expect from a well used item of this age.The draw tube mechanism moves up and down smoothly and the fine focus wheel appears to be working.The back ...is marked "Beck, London" anr it is stamped "14952" to the side.The objective is a replacement and is marked "Prior 4x/0.12".There is one eypiece. There are no cracks or chips to the double sided mirror, but there is loss of silvering in lines to both side.The Microscope has its' original case with the trade label to the inside of the lid. MicroscopeThis striking nickel plated brass microscope by "Beck" of London is, I believe; the "Star" model.
There are no cracks or chips to the nickel plated body or cast iron base that I can find. The microscope has retained much of its' nickel plating and original paint, however, there are the usual wear and use marks mainly to the stage, that you expect from a well used item of this age.

The back is marked "Beck, London" anr it is stamped "14952" to the side.
The objective is a replacement and is marked "Prior 4x/0.12".
There is one eypiece.
