This auctionis for 1 previously owned vintage beautifully Hand-carved Meerschaum smokingpipe in its very own custom fitted lined molded case. The pipe is made of 100 %pure meerschaum with a dark tortoise colored curved stem. It measuresapproximately 1 1/2 inches across the top of the bowl and is about 6 inchesfrom the front of the bowl to the tip of the stem. It has a small medallion onthe stem that reads SMS. The pipe and case have been very well cared for andshow only slight wear on ...the tip of the stem and soot in the bowl with someyellowing beginning around the top of the bowl and the neck of the stem. The case is lined with gold velvet type liningand is covered in black leatherette. Inside the case there is a sticker thatreads SMS Hand-carved Block Meerschaum. TURKEY. There is also a small stickeron the exterior of case that reads Made in Turkey. It isa wonderful piece and would make a Great Gift!
