Antique French Tete Jumeau Bisque Doll Size 6 Circa 1890’s 16” Tall. Condition is Used. Bisque doll head has no hairlines or restorations. The red Tete Jumeau stamp on back of head is unreadable with only part of one letter still on head, also on back of head is the incised number 6. This indicates Jumeau size number. Doll should be 16" - 17" in height. She has beautiful perfect original blue set paperweight eyes and pierced ears and open mouth. Right ear has a flake caused by anti...que earrings. It will never be seen because doll wig covers ears. The eyebrows are close together in middle, typical for all Bebe Jumeau dolls. Nostrils are accented with red dots, and she has 6 porcelain upper teeth. Lips are beautiful with no rubs. The body is" BEBE JUMEAU " "DIPLOME D'HONNEUR" with no labels. Typical chubby body with no repaired areas. Right leg has a scratch showing white undercoat. Spring attaching head was replaced when body was restrung. She is wearing a slip/pantaloons combination, and a nice antique lace dress with a blue ribbon. Shoes and socks are vintage. Her replaced blonde mohair wig is vintage as is her beautiful hat.
