Antique 20” TETE JUMEAU Bisque Doll Incised 1907 and Red stamped TETE JUMEAU and #8 on back of head. This doll is all original except for her beautiful blue vintage dress. She has an open mouth with six upper teeth, pierced ears, with white original JUMEAU earrings that cover tiny pierced ear normal chips in holes. The head is beautiful with smooth and creamy bisque. Her finely painted eyelashes above and below her fantastic blue paperweight eyes are perfect, as are her beautif...ul brush stroked eyebrows. Cheeks are perfect with no marks, as is her beautiful rose colored highlighted heart shaped lips. Her original blonde mohair wig is nice, with an original cork pate that has been made smaller by shaving the edges, and covered with an antique straw hat. I believe her doll stand could also be original. The head is connected to the body with her original JUMEAU spring. Her original JUMEAU body is very nice with some repainted areas on upper legs and fingers. On her feet she is wearing original JUMEAU white socks and JUMEAU brown shoes. They are incised on soles with Paris, (with a bumble bee), and depose , and 8. These shoes have been selling for $200. Doll is wearing antique pantaloons and under dress. Her replaced outstanding vintage dress is blue with lots of lace trim. All buttons are covered and she has a matching small purse, and a bustle in the back under the large bow.
