Hans J. Wegner designed drop-down secretary desk / hutch /cabinet for Ry Mobler. Solid oak construction with teak veneer, six dovetaileddrawers (2 of the shallow shelves are lined with green felt), drop downsecretary desk, one adjustable shelf and a cubby storage in the hutch. Whilethere are two locking mechanisms, the unit does not come with the key. The entire unit is in good vintage condition but has some blemishes.The top surface of the cabinet is two-toned due to the hutch placed ...on top overthe years, has several deep scratches in the veneer and one chip to the edge, all which are shown in the photos. The rear edge on the left side of thecabinet also has a chip to the veneer about 1” long. The faces of the drawersare in great condition and the drawers open and close smoothly. The hutchportion of the cabinet is in fair condition. The bottom of the left side hasthree small chips to the veneer, the drop-down desk has a small impression tothe veneer, a deep scratch to the bottom, the corner has two faint chips to theveneer, all of which are pictured.
