Beautiful mid to late 19th century 19” height Dallah coffee pot from Nizwa or more likely from Muscat in Oman. This pot comes from a special private collection of interesting Middle Eastern antiques procured in the 50’s, including some great antique dallah coffee pots, most of which are Omani. This is a nice heavy dallah —nearly 10 lbs. —with a weighted lid and a few little rattles still inside. It is a tinned copper body with a brass lid. Condition: The lid has two small holes .../ distressed areas. There is a dent near the base of the pot, see photos, and you can request additional photos. The damascened pattern around the base is very faint. It may come up with a good polish. Overall tarnish and verdigris. I have not attempted to clean the dallah, and leave that process to your discretion. The copper and brass elements will truly shine if you wish to clean the patina off. Somebody has been cleaning these over the years and there are still traces of brass polish on them.I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the materials and detailed condition reporting, including more photos on request, prior to your purchase. It will be shipped Priority insured within the US!Measures: 19” tall x 17.5” ; 48 cm x 44.5 cm
