Beautiful 19th century very large 21” height Dallah coffee pot from Nizwa or possibly from Muscat in Oman. This pot comes from a special private collection of interesting Middle Eastern antiques procured in the 50’s, including some great antique dallah coffee pots, most of which are Omani. This is a really big heavy dallah with a weighted lid. It is a tinned copper body with a brass finial.Condition: Overall condition is very good! The spout cover is missing the small flap piece. Th...ere are two very shallow, small minor dents to the body—negligible, see photos. So dents are not an issue with this dallah. The base has a damascened pattern. It will come up bright with a good polish. Overall tarnish and there are verdigris green watermark spots on the lid, and elsewhere on the entire body of the piece—see photos. I photographed this piece in direct sunlight to show a little more what it will look like when it is polished up. I have not attempted to clean the dallah, and leave that process to your discretion. The copper and brass elements will truly shine if you wish to clean the patina off. Somebody has been cleaning these over the years and there are still traces of brass or copper polish on them.I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the materials and detailed condition reporting, including more photos on request, prior to your purchase. It will be shipped Priority insured within the US!Measures: 21” tall x 21” x 7”; 53.5 cm x 53.5 cm x 18 cm.
