Superb Antique (French?) Bronze Champleve Enamel & Marble Desk Stand Inkwell
DIMENSIONS: Approximately 28cm x 16.6cm x 12.5cm tall overallITEM DETAILS: This is a beautiful antique inkwell which is largely formed from beautifully cast bronze and champleve enamel with a marble slab base. As you can see, a couple of corners of the marble are slightly damaged where they are mounted inside the bronze frame (see photos) and the top surface isn't as smooth and shiny... as it would once have been but aside from this it's in superb shape and as bright as a button with no other issues and displays majestically. It's a delight to behold, it's just as you see it in the photos and as always there's a low start and no reserve so happy bidding!
