Here we have a very fine vintage "Shell Briar" 576 F/T estate pipe in the straight saddle 'billiard' style, witha lovely sandblast finish to the briar, crafted in 1969 by master British pipe-maker, Dunhill.
It has been well smoked but remains in great condition overall - the walls of the chamber have thinned, so it may require the use of a gauze to protect it - the stem is a replacement, but fits very well.
There is a shallow layer of carbon in the chamber, and so...me on the bowl rim.Air flows through the pipe freely.
On the underside of the shank is "Dunhill" over "Shell Briar" as well as model number "576 F/T", "Made in England 9" (for 1969), the circled number "1" (for Group Size 1) and the letter "S"(for 'Shell').
Thoroughly cleaned and ready to enjoy.Sold as seen.
