Here we have a superb vintage "Shell Briar" 248 F/T estate pipe in the straight 'billiard' style, witha lovely rustic finish to the briar, crafted in 1968 by master British pipe-maker, Dunhill.
It has been very carefully smoked and remains in excellent condition - just a few light teethmarkson the stem.
There is just a shallow layer of carbon in the chamber.The stem fixes securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
On the underside ...of the shank is "Dunhill" over "Shell Briar" as well as model number "248 F/T", then "Made in England 8" (for 1968), the circled number "1" (for Group Size 1) and the letter "S"(for 'Shell').The Dunhill 'white spot' adorns the stem.
Thoroughly cleaned and ready to enjoy.Sold as seen.
