Apple G4 Upgrade CPU for Power Mac Cube 600MHz 7410 1MB L2 like Sonnet 820-1175. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
I have a 600MHz G4 upgrade CPU for sale. This processor was a 533MHz 7410 out of a Digital Audio Power Mac, part number 820-1175. The jumpers have been adjusted so that it runs at 6x the bus and has been tested at 600MHz this way. This is a direct swap for the 450MHz 7400 CPU in the Apple Cube. It yields a 30% speed boost with no modifications... to the cube or need for firmware patches. The cube can remain fanless and silent as the 7410 uses less power than the older 7400. It is one of the few upgrades you can make to the cube that doesn't require a base fan. It will also fit almost any of the G4 Power Mac tower computers.
I'm a private seller, not an ebay business. I can provide some advice on installing this but I have no control over how it gets installed. If you are not familiar with working on computers you should get technical assistance with this. So I'm selling this AS IS with no returns or refunds. However, it is currently working perfectly and upon request I can run tests or programs to demonstrate its function. It uses an XPC7410 processor and does not require a firmware update for installation.
The CPU card is all that will be shipped. You should be able to re-use an existing heatsink. The CPU will be carefully pulled, packaged, and mailed by USPS to the USA.
