This listing is for a vintage Ronson Touch-Tip Streamlined table lighter. First introduced in 1935, this model was designed in the Art Deco style, and was advertised by Ronson as having "the speedy flow lines of crack modern railway trains". These were offered in several different enamels with either chromium or gold plated bodies. This particular one is gold plated, and at one time had white enamel, which is one of the most desirable offerings, but this one has obvious condition issue...s. The body has a some tiny dings spread around, but no major dents. There are a lot of small surface scratches, but they are not deep. I can't feel them when I rub my finger over them, but if I use my fingernail I can feel some of them. I do believe a skilled restorer could make this look beautiful again, but it is still a wonderful piece for any collection. The wand is straight, and I personally put a new wick in it, which is easily done by unscrewing the tip's collar. The flint tube is clear, and with a flint inserted a nice spark is produced. This is a petrol lighter, and although it has NOT been filled and tested it should function as designed with fuel and a flint. Thank you for looking, and good luck with the bidding!
