RESTORED 1955 MENS FANCY BLACK ENAMEL CASE LORD ELGIN ART DECO VINTAGE CLUBMAN WINDING WATCH. This classic watch is a very nice representation of the fine quality Elgins of the 1930's to 1960's. The Lord Elgin Clubman watch with the waffle dial and 21 jewel movement, is among the most desirable Elgins for collectors. Finding one this nice and original is a rare treat. Elgin didn't name many of their watch models. The Clubman, Black Knight, Dunbar, Sabre, Oxford&nbs...p;were some of those exceptions in the Lord Elgin line that sold for a premium. This watch has been fully serviced, cleaned oiled and is ready to wear. It has a new balance. It would make an excellent gift. It has a very attractive classic case with a relatively clean original dial and sharp hands. The Crystal is new and free of scratches and the case has been ultrasonically cleaned and polished. The case bezel and back are 14 karat yellow gold filled and the watch comes with a new, vintage genuine Lizard over calf leather strap and stainless steel spring bars. The CLUBMAN retailed for $71.50 in 1955. That's about $685.00 in today's dollars... so a premium time piece to be sure.
