RESTORED 1953 MENS FANCY BLACK ENAMEL CASE LORD ELGIN ART DECO VINTAGE CLUBMAN WINDING WATCH. This classic watch is a very nice representation of the fine quality Elgins of the 1930's to 1960's. The Lord Elgin Clubman watch with the waffle dial and 21 jewel movement, is among the most desirable Elgins for collectors. There were 6, 000 of these produced in 1953 (not that many during the height of mass production) and finding one this nice and original is a rare treat. Th...e watch has been fully serviced, cleaned oiled and is ready to wear. It would make an excellent gift. It has a very attractive classic case with a relatively clean original dial and sharp hands. The Crystal is polished and free of scratches and the case has been ultrasonically cleaned and polished. The case bezel and back are 14 karat yellow gold filled and the watch comes with a new, vintage genuine reptile leather strap and new spring bars. There is a very minor ding on the case back that I tried to photograph. Please look at all of the photos as they are part of the description, remember to wind vintage watches with care, never consider them waterproof, and understand that they are not as accurate as quartz watches.
