It is made of chrome metal accents with a metal body that has a shiny black enamel finish. The piece also has a protective green felt bottom. It's in lovely cosmetic condition, with only very minor signs of usage wear to the chrome, and no missing enamel. Any light spots on the shiny black enamel are reflections. It has a blank chrome plate cartouche on the front for engraving initials.

The Ronson Touch-Tip Octette table lighter was made between 1935 and 1951 by Ronson Art Metal Works Inc. based in Newark, New Jersey. This lighter began a very successful era for Ronson Touch-Tip series of lighters; which pushed out the strike lighters from the market. WILL SEND 1ST INTERNATIONAL CLASS REGISTERD TRACKING MAIL FULL INSURED During the years the Octette model was modified slightly; at the beginning it was manufactured with a rectangular cover over the flint wheel and a round-shaft wand, as is this piece. Since 1942 the cover over the flint wheel was half circled and the wand had a square shaft and a tapered cone knob.
This piece would make a fabulous addition to your lighter collection, and is perfect for daily use. Great for lighting pipes, cigars and cigarettes, as well as a wonderful candle lighter. You need to service the ligheter in order to come to working condition thus the price is lowerer .
