This is a superb pair of Staffordshire John Walton pearlware figurine groups of a male figure with a dog, female with a sheep, wide bocage with coloured flowers to the rears, mounted onto the decorative bases of which:During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the early 19th century. Date about c1810s.Staffordshire.Pearlware.A pair of John Walton pearlware figurine groups with:to the rear of each: the Walton marks in a plaque.Staffordshire standin...g female figurine holding a sheep with its wonderful portrayal.Standing male figure, holding a shepherds crook with a black & white dog to the base.well coloured.Both with wonderful facial decoration.To the rears of both: wide bocage with coloured flowers.Mounted onto the decorative base with streams & areas of coloured bocage.A pair of Staffordshire John Walton figurine groups of the male & female with a sheep and a dog with the intricate overall detailing.Each has an overall height of about 5.75inches.Max overall size of the hollow base of about 2.75 x 2.25inches.Max overall dis of the bocage of about 4.25inches.Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are not subject to:any major blemishes except:chipping to the tips of the bocage.minor nibbles and graze rubs.The male figure has had a glue repair to the bocage under both wide leaf areas.
