Here's a nearly perfect Western Electric 7-A tube amplifier manufactured in 1921. Condition is just about mint throughout. Painted wood panel is spotless, with no scratches, no cracks, no scuffs, no chipping in the corners or along the edges. All of the nickel-plated panel escutcheons are present, with virtually no tarnish. Original filament switch. All of the binding post nuts are original are original, and none are damaged. All original panel screws are clean and original
Chassis is clean, almost like new, and all three transformers are correct and original, with good windings. All wiring is original, too.
Comes with 3 Western Electric 216-A tennis ball tubes. The tubes have good filaments and, when tested as 01A tubes, they also have good emissions.
I've owned several of these 7-A amplifiers over the past 30 years, but this example is by far the best of the bunch. If you want the nicest 7-A amplifier you're ever likely to encounter, I would suggest you bookmark this auction.
