Excellent quality genuine 212 year old sterling silver example; a nice large size and attractive shape, with a high scrolled handle and all-over decorated with beautiful period prick/wriggle-work engraved flowers, foliage and scrolls. Inside it still has its original gilt-lined interior and it rests on 4 silver ball feet. It weighs a heavy approx 184 grams and there are no added personal engraved monograms or crests in the cartouches. Ready to be used.Measurements Measures approx. 5.65 inches (144mm) in length, (including handle), x 3.2 inches (80mm) wide and stands 4.25 inches (107mm) in height.Date English antique early 19th Century Georgian solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1807, (date letter "M"). Lovely clear marks and includes the silver duty mark of King George the Third. Maker Silversmiths initials have been over-struck but look to be "N H", (Henry Nutting - 1795 - 1807).Condition Good condition with no splits or wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents. Small old repair on one of the silver ball feet, honestly nothing bad, see photos, and totally tight and secure. The interior gilding is definitely original and mostly all still 100% intact. Superb quality, with beautiful period engraving and with a lovely heavy silver weight. With no added personal engraved monograms or crests and is direct from a private estate.
