FABULOUS ANTIQUE FRENCH SCHOOL THERMOMETER & SEPIA SCRIPT c1900 THERMOMETRE ECOLE
I am now home from mt recent truffling trip from Provence and I a starting to list my latest finds. Check back this week to see the treasures. This gorgeous antique French THERMOMETRE DES ECOLES a school thermometer would be a superb period display for a vieille maison. I have left it just as it was found, untouched and original and it will clean... as required. The painted wood is pine, the paint is the original and the old timeworn sepia in script has a look of faded grandeur that simply could not be reproduced. The metal protector for the glass " bubble" is all intact, the glass all intact and it works perfectly. Height 40cms Width 5.8cms A genuine period confection. All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique. They have all had a 'past' life, a history to tell - and this inevitably affects their condition through use and handling. I do my best to make my descriptions as accurate as possible but please do not bid if you are looking for pristine items; you will not find them in my auctions! However, if you are as passionate as me about beautiful time-worn treasures with a history and full faded grandeur then I hope you will enjoy looking through my treasures as much as I enjoy 'truffling' for the finds. I aim to despatch your parcel within 5 days of receiving your payment. The French postal system can be a little slow at times but is usually reliable. However I cannot be held responsible once I have deposited your parcel at the post office for any subsequent delays which occur whilst the parcel is en route to you. I am happy to combine two or more items into one package for shipping.
