This fine Georgian tea caddy i think dates to around 1790/1800 , the tea caddy has a mahogany veneered surface with lovely inlay in the form of sea shells on the lid and front of the box and has string inlay on the edges as seen in the photos , the box has a lovely colour and patina with age and lovely condition just minor wear and tear with age and use , inside there are two compartments that look like they never had internal lids . there is a paper covering on the inner lid , there i...s a lock but no key , the caddy measures 7.75 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches
