Wow! I just love the 1941 Zenith 6D525....and there is a lot to like....Solid Walnut on the top and sides, a beautiful burl veneer for the face, 6 tubes for awesome reception, big, clear easy to see dial, and those cool vent slots in the top and sides giving it the "Toaster" nickname....in a darkened room, you can even catch the glow from the tubes! ......a very popular Zenith table model with collectors....this one has original lacquer finish, and although there are some touch-ups and... a few very small dings here and there, the overall appearance is very pleasing. The Original dial lens is very clear with minimal scratches....we've done our usual re-cap, and out of tolerance resistor replacement, full electrical service, alignment, tubes checked, volume control lubed and cleaned, dial cord tensioned, and a new 20, 000hr pilot bulb installed. Please note, that the tuning on this set stops just shy of 550 MHz on the low end...not an issue, unless there is a particular station at 550 that you need to receive! The set measures 12"x7-1/2"x 7" and weighs in at about 8 lbs.The Zenith works great, pulling in stations well with no external antenna needed. Nice, mellow tube sound. There is, however, a terminal for a long wire antenna if you get curious to see how far away you can pick up that distant station! A real "personality set"...I promise, you'll love it! The radio will be expertly packed for safe arrival to your door....check my feedback from my many fine buyers...we've been doing this since 2001!
