Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) finely painted Satsuma Vase with 3 big decorative panels on the center of the vase. One depicts a scene of 5 aristocrat women and 3 samurai over the interior of the house. There are two samurai and a few seated samurai on the second panel, and a landscape with houses, river, bridges and trees are on the third panel. Three smaller scrolls depict samurai and children. There are various symbolic decorations throughout the vase.Please see pictures. The vas...e is signed by an artistThe vase has been professionally restored.
