1940-1950's Antique Wood Carved Hunting Duck Decoy - Extra Head - Unmarked
Very nice vintage piece. There are no marking that I could see. Measures approximately 13 1/2 Long x 5 1/2 Wide x 6 High, and weighs 1 lbs 15.9 oz. (with out extra head). The head of the duck moves in any position you want, and it does come off the body. The wood dowel that holds the ducks head in the body is broken off short, the head doesn't want to stay on in certain positions. See pictures). Th...e extra head does not fit on this ducks body and also has some damage, (Please see all pictures). The extra head measures approximately 8 inches long. Duck has vintage wear to it and is also dust and dirty. There are also some signs of paint loss, nicks, and cuts on the wood. Please see all pictures before bidding.
