This is a beautiful Mid-Century Modern Dunbar Office Chair by designer Edward Wormley. It is a medium gray tufted leather with a soft mossy green hue. The leather shows minimal wear. The base is wood with casters. This office chair is a timeless, minimalist piece in phenomenal condition. The leather shows small areas of wear around some of the buttons, but there are no other cracks or blemishes. The base is slightly wobbly, but can be easily tightened. In 1950, The Chicago Merchandise Mart joined with the Museum of Modern Art to sponsor the GOOD DESIGN exhibition. The annual exhibition, designed to commend selected home furnishings for their “excellent appearance and progressive performance, ” was often a platform of recognition for DUNBAR.
