Original Description:
Antique Hand Painted Tobacco Jar with 1900's Football Scene. This came out of a vintage football collection in Ithaca, NY.  It appears to be circa 1900 - 1915.  There are no chips, cracks, crazing or other apparent damage visible.  There is very faint image fading/lose due to age wear.  The chrome/tin top has some dings and minor dents but noting significant when you take into consideration that its going on 120 years old.  There is no makers mark, production/m...odel number or country of origin.  It stands 4" tall without the cover, 6" with the cover and its 3.5" wide at the mouth.  See the pictures to get an idea of the scenes on the jar.  The under laying glass is milk glass.  Please ask all questions prior to bidding since we try to give the best description we're able but we are not "specialists or experts" on Tobacco Jars. This is a no return auction, unless the item is significantly different than described.  Please view the pictures, they are part of the description and are included to assist you.
