This is an early 1800’s original antique Chinese Tea Caddy. With incredibly detailed, hand painted gold gild decoration against a black background- this piece really stands out.
We do not have the key for the lock, nor any interior canisters/ parts.
The artwork on the lid is pretty worn from generations of use/handling. Please inspect pictures....
Original hand carved dragon feet. One screw looks to have been replaced.
Measures 11-1/2” (29.21cm) width x 4-3/4” (12.065cm) front to back.
Height measures 5” (12.7cm)
Structurally sound.
