Antique 19th Century 1899 Oil painting Portrait Young girl Child Signed Dated. This beautiful painting was sourced from a second hand store in Central Washington State. I do not have any history on this painting. It is signed and dated 99. As shown in the photo there is age and damage to the frame and matting. Beyond the Craquelure to the canvas there is no damage to the painting itself. The canvas is glued to a board so I am unable to show the back of the canvas. Some art enthusiasts ...have pondered if this is a painted photo, while others have rejected that notion. I personally do not believe it is. Some small areas of the canvas are the same color as under the matting. I've included several close up photos. Approximate dimensions including the frame are 20" x 16". This painting has not been formally appraised. I will have this professionally packed and shipped. The shipping service will most likely use UPS or FedEx.
